Dr. Lunat is a distinguished physician and healthcare executive with extensive experience across the NHS, private sector, and global consulting. He served as Senior Advisor to various members of NHS England’s Executive, where he helped craft the NHS’s first Long-Term Workforce Plan and shaped national policy on digital transformation, workforce strategy and leadership development. Dr. Lunat also worked closely with the UK Prime Minister and Health Secretary, contributing directly to the digital transformation of the NHS.
As Chief Medical Information Officer at a major London hospital, he led digital innovation, including an award winning virtual ward program that saved over 1,000 bed days. He has also served as Director of Transformation and Improvement at Cambridge University Hospitals, overseeing over £10 million in funding for digital and operational innovations aimed at making the hospital paperless. In the private sector, he has held clinical leadership roles at Strategy&, delivering clinical strategy and transformation programmes across the UK and Middle East.
He also serves as Health Executive in Residence at UCL’s Health MBA and advises numerous health start-ups. Dr. Lunat is recognized for his unique integration of clinical, strategic, and policy expertise to drive large-scale, lasting improvements in healthcare.
