Marcelo Nuno Gonçalves Pereira is a Portuguese executive with over three decades of international management experience across healthcare, financial services, infrastructure, manufacturing, services and Oil & Gas. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Coimbra and a Master’s degree in European Economics from ICADE, Madrid. Throughout his career, he has held senior executive and board-level positions in both private and public-sector organisations, with extensive experience in strategy, business transformation, investment and organisational development. 

Marcelo is a Senior Manager at IDEALMED Global Healthcare Solutions (GHS), a European healthcare group, and has been CEO of Oman International Hospital (OIH) since early 2021, joining the project one year before the hospital opened. 

Under his leadership, OIH has rapidly established itself as a leading private healthcare institution in Oman, operating in the Band A+ segment and developing several specialised centres of excellence. The hospital has expanded access to advanced medical services in Oman, attracted patients from international markets and contributed to the development of Oman as a regional healthcare destination. 

His current work focuses on healthcare strategy and operations, investment, development of specialised services, international patient flows and the creation of sustainable healthcare organisations and partnerships across markets.
