About the Speaker

Dr. Shamsa Al Harthi is an Omani social development leader with extensive experience in community development, civil society, child welfare, and public relations. She has served as the CEO of Dar Al Atta’a since 2016, leading its strategic direction, operations, and social initiatives. Prior to this, she held several senior positions at the Ministry of Social Development, including Director of Public Relations, Director of Social Associations and Clubs, and Director of Child Affairs.  

She holds a PhD in Business Administration from Binary University, Malaysia, a Master’s in Development Studies and Social Systems from the University of Leeds, and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Sultan Qaboos University. She has also contributed to national committees on children’s and women’s rights and participated in developing Oman’s first national strategy for women.
