Dr. Nigel is a Critical Care specialist currently working at the Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Center, University Medical City, Oman, with more than a decade of experience in anesthesia and critical care at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital. He is actively involved in medical education, research, and professional training, and holds advanced qualifications in anesthesia, regional anesthesia, pediatrics, pediatric cardiology, healthcare management, and palliative care. 

He has played a significant role in critical care services during the COVID-19 pandemic and has been recognized as one of Oman Observer’s “7 COVID Warriors.” He is also an experienced BLS, ACLS and disaster life-support instructor and has contributed extensively to community CPR and first-aid education. 

Dr. Nigel currently serves as Chairman of Overseas Affairs of the Indian Medical Association and has held several leadership roles within the medical community. He has received multiple professional recognitions, including the Indian Medical Association Youth Leader Award, Kairali-Oman Healthcare Award – Doctor of the Year 2022, and the Dr. V.C. Velayudhan Pillai Memorial Award.
