Panel 5 - Shifting the Paradigm from Treatment to Prevention

Non-Communicable Diseases pose the greatest public health challenge in Oman today, requiring a shift away from purely reactive clinical care. With lifestyle-related conditions driving national health burdens, hospitals alone cannot solve diseases born of poor nutrition and inactivity. This panel brings together Ministry officials, physicians, dietitian specialists, and fitness leaders to pioneer proactive preventive medicine. Together, stakeholders will explore how to write actionable "lifestyle prescriptions" and integrate wellness directly into daily community life. By uniting policy, nutrition, and exercise, the session aims to reduce disease burden and extend healthy life expectancy.
