Ultrasound (US) uses sound waves to create images. Nowadays, many diseases are diagnosed using ultrasound devices.
The device does not pose risk of radiation exposure and side effect and it does not cause any pain. Ultrasound is a radiation-free imaging modality and therefore, patients are not unnecessarily exposed to radiation.
It doesn’t cause any side effects. It can be repeated as many times as required since patients do not feel any pain in the test.
