Established in 2001, Prashanth Fertility Research Centre (PFRC) is a leading Fertility Centre in India housed at Chetpet ,Velachery and Kolathur, Chennai, South India  and has carved a niche for itself in the field of Reproductive Medicine.  PFRC is  equipped with the latest ultra modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment from all over the world.

Being the first Indo-Australian set up, PFRC updates itself with the latest in scientific advancements in Reproductive Medicine.  The Centres perform the latest techniques in Assisted Reproduction starting from Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI), Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), Intra cytoplasmic injection of  Morphologically  Selected sperms (IMSI),  Laser Assisted Hatching, Blastocyst culture and  Vitrification of oocytes and embryos.  PFRC also does extensive research work on Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) which is helpful specially for those with recurrent miscarriages. PRP and stem cell therapy is also used for rejuvenating the ovary and endometrium.

PRASHANTH FERTILITY RESEARCH CENTRE, Chennai has the latest technologies which  ensures  successful pregnancies in such group of patients.

It is a Centre of Excellence housing the most hi-tech and sophisticated time lapse imaging technology ( Embryoscope ) which is available in only selected centres worldwide  and  3-D laparoscopy for precision and accuracy of  any surgical procedure . 

The Centres also has a semen and oocyte bank as well as donor embryo bank to cater to the patient’s requirements along with several other associated therapies for Assisted Reproduction like acupuncture, immunotherapy and stem cell therapy for improved success rates.

For the FIRST TIME IN INDIA, Prashanth Fertility Research Centre has introduced a breakthrough technology for Super microsurgery with 40x magnification under which seminiferous tubules are examined and identified as these have a much higher chance of containing sperms. These are then sent to the embryology lab for evaluation and if they contain sperms they are preserved by freezing them. This stored sperm can be used for IVF procedures like ICSI.  Men who had given up hopes of having a biological child have become happy fathers.

A renowned Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and specialist in reproductive medicine and laparoscopic surgery for the last 38 years, Dr Geetha Haripriya has performed more than 60,000 procedures in assisted reproduction, delivered more than 60,000 babies from Assisted Reproductive techniques.  She has performed more than75,000 laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures successfully.  Dr C Geetha Haripriya delivered the world’s 2^nd  quadruplets through ICSI in 2003 and has delivered 420 babies through surrogacy.

PFRC & Dr Geetha Haripriya received  the “ROSE OF PARACELSUS” award on November 21, 2017 from the  Europe Business Assembly (EBA), Great Britain, and European Medical Association (EMA), Belgium, as recognition for the best medical practices and practitioner.

Dr Geetha Haripriya was recognised as Inspiring Gynaecologists of India in June 2018, at the Economic Times Doctors Day Conclave, Delhi

PFRC was awarded the best hospital for Reproductive Medicine for 2018  by FICCI and Government of TamilNadu on 27 November 2018 at Hotel ITC Grand , Chennai

In 2019, once again in a survey done by Times of India, PFRC was ranked No 1 Fertility Centre in Chennai and 4rth in India for the third consecutive year.

In 2020, Dr Geetha Haripriya was awarded twice by Times of India for Excellence in Fertility Care in Chennai and Service Excellence in Fertility Care 2020.

In November 2022, Prashanth Gertility Research Centre headed by Dr C Geetha Haripriya was ranked No. 1 in Chennai by The Times of India.

On 20 September 2023, PFRC was awarded the Times Healthcare Achievers by Times of India for their achievement in the field of Healthcare.

In October 2024, PFRC was ranked as the No. 1 Fertility centre in Chennai by the Times of India.

Dr Geetha Haripriya received the LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD from the Health Minister Thiru Ma. Subramanian at the CII TamilNadu Healthcare Excellence Honors on 16 November 2024.

CSR   ACTIVITIES

As a part of the CSR activities, over the past 15 plus years, Dr Geetha Haripriya continues to  conduct atleast 20 free Fertility consultation camps in a year in different districts of TamilNadu.  Apart from this, free counselling sessions are also conducted in Sri Lanka  , Sudan and Bangladesh regularly and many people have benefitted from this. Online counselling for countries like Canada, UK, Mauritius, Nairobi, Ethopia and many other countries are being conducted regularly.

In addition to her many awards and recognitions, Dr.C Geetha Haripriya’s work has been extensively written about in the print and electronic media.

Her interviews have been printed in top papers and magazines such as  The Hindu, Times of India, Dina Thanthi, Dinakaran Times of India in Chennai  and in countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman  and Kenya for her path breaking work in the field of infertility. Dr C Geetha Haripriya has featured in patient information programs as well as interviews on a number of occasions in television programmes in India, Sri Lanka, Canada, UK . etc.

On an academic perspective, she has delivered several lectures in national and national forums and conducted several workshops in reproductive medicine. 

Throughout her public interactions and media appearances, Dr C Geetha Haripriya has dwelt on various issues pertaining to the promotion of women’s health in India.
